Workplace moral dilemma!

Picture the scene
After another "enjoyable and productive" day at work, you realise it's gone 7pm and you're the only one still in the office (well my floor) and in the silence you hear a funny noise ... after a bit of investigation you realise someone has spilt a drink in to a 4 way power extension and it is merrily crackling and emitting a nasty burnt plastic smell.

Do you
(a) Do nothing and go home in the hope the ensuing office fire would get rid of those pesky project deadlines ?
(b) Report it? (but who to ?)
(c) Unplug the offending extension cable ?

Of course I did (b) & (c) but (a) was disturbingly tempting, especially as a certain smart card reader I'd spent the last several hours trying to get working was only a couple of desks away from the soon to be fire.

The moral of the story is of course only to spill sugary soft drinks into electrical sockets - they're much better fire starters than coffee.
