Argh I've just realised a problem with playing too long and too late at night, your brain stops working. As I ran through the shire the other night/morning passing lots of copper & tin ore deposits, I thought two things "My what a lot of ore there is in the Shire" and "I don't need that anymore having mastered apprentice prospecting". Then the next day I remembered that to master apprentice metalsmith I'll need an awful lot of copper & tin (to make bronze ingots), in fact I'll need 354 copper + 118 tin which at an (unscientific) average of 2 per drop means harvesting 236 ore deposits! Of course having mastered apprentice prospecting there is always the chance I'll get a critical success and make 6 bronze ingots instead of 1 but that didn't happen with the 11 ingots I made last night.
Which is just a long winded way of pointing out that my fears about this game & me are well founded.
Of course I could just buy the ingots from someone else but that's another topic.
