More wifi hell

After my earlier thoughts on laptops it was ironic that my wife got a new laptop this weekend, a nice shiny centrino one. I thought this would be nice and easy to join our existing wifi network but oh no - couldn't see the network, constantly dropping connections all very odd. Also it means that the wifi adapter I bought for her old laptop is now useless - typical.
